love this and use it every day. Its colorful e-ink screen is fantastic, great refresh rates and minimal ghosting. It supports Android apps, so I download my favorite reading apps and language learning app directly onto the device. It is compact and lightweight, so it is convenient to carry around. It helps to reduce my time spent staring at traditional electronic screens, which is much better for my eyes.

I can do pretty much everything I need for school on this and I am able to use all the book services I normally use on this tablet. It’s amazing.

The first product I bought from BOOX was the Palma. I really liked it but decided I wanted something with color. I’ve also been on an endless quest for a small Android tablet.I ended up choosing this mini tablet since I personally like smaller screens for its portability and one hand use. I also appreciate a color screen after using the Palma. This tablet is great for reading and light web browsing. I use this more than my Kindle to read my Kindle books. I really like being able to stop a book and do quick web browsing between chapters. The color screen makes viewing images easier, although the colors do show as pretty washed out and inaccurate. The note taking with a stylus is a great plus. And the web capability is pretty snappy and can even show animation. As said earlier, the colors are pretty washed out and can be aggravating. The handwriting capability allows for erasing with the stylus, but it does complete erasure which I don’t like. For example, if I’m writing/drawing on my Kindle Scribe and I make a mistake in one spot, I can use the eraser function to erase one portion of the letter/line without erasing the entire thing. I can erase the bottom loop in the letter ‘g’ without erasing the rest of the letter ‘g’ even though it was drawn with one continuous stroke. This tablet however, will erase the entire ‘g’ if you used one stroke to write it.This tablet is great for what it is if you understand its few limitations. It’s great as an ereader, journal, and a light web browser. However, keep in mind that the colors will look washed out and the eraser erases an entire stroke at a time. The small size factor, great battery life, and its ability to wear many different hats makes it a great purchase nonetheless.

This little tablet is pretty good, but far from great. The whole concept of e-ink displays is to provide long battery life. This tablet doesn’t really have very good battery life. My experience with other tablets (Galaxy and iPad as well as Kindle) tell me I get a MUCH bigger sacrifice in overall experience than I receive in extended battery life. Compared to ‘normal’ displays, the Boox Tab Mini C is very slow, very flickery and has abysmal color recreation. The user can change settings to give better performance in one area, but at the expense of other areas. In the end, the display is just kinda bad, no matter how you configure the display. It does have regular Android support for apps and other features, so that’s a big plus over other e-ink tablets. The lack of buttons is an oversight. The gesture input is far less reliable that using buttons. For example, having to ‘swipe up’ instead of pressing a ‘home’ button is hit-or-miss. Sometimes you move the screen content, sometimes nothing happens, and occasionally it works as a home button. Similarly with the ‘swipe up in the corner’ as a task switching button. In short, buttons would have been a better choice. The pen is great, and the tablet is very responsive to pen input. It is great for taking hand written notes. All told, I would rather have a ‘regular’ tablet with pen input, and just have to charge it every couple of days. This Tab Mini C MIGHT last me a week on a charge, and that’s just not enough to justify dealing with the tradeoffs.

You can get it for this price and a case for less on the site. You’re welcome.

First of all, it makes for a fabulous ereader, but the color and stylus keep it fun. I use it as a digital planner and take work notes on it, so I love how much use I can get from one device. I had a Kindle Oasis before, and this device is bigger but more capable of other things. And for reading I bought a Bluetooth page turner and now my life is complete!

I have this one and a bigger one and I love them both. One negative is the battery life. But I keep them charged and they usually last the whole day then have to charge again.

I got this mainly for the color screen. The color was ok but not worth the price and not very useful. I am pretty sure the addition of color contributed a lot of ghosting. It was especially bad on the Kindle app, which I heard from others was a problem. The other problem was that the colors were just always blown out, bland, or inaccurate. I didn’t expect like crazy crispness on an LED screen and knew it would be sort of pastel, but this was just not great. I went with the leaf instead given the similar specs at half the cost. I would get this if I had tons of expendable money but alas I don’t. If you’re looking for maximum value for your dollar I would go with a colorless boox model
